Can I Use A Younger Photo of Myself?

No.

Because here’s the point of photos:

It’s to show people what you look like.

If you include a photo that doesn’t look like you – because it was taken 10 years ago, it was taken when you were skinnier, or it was taken when you still had hair – then you’re lying to people.

You’re saying, “This is what I look like,” when in fact you don’t look that way anymore.

And when you show up on that first date looking nothing like your photo, your date has every right to get up and walk out. You’ve deceived them.

You’ve failed the first test of trust. Why should they trust you with their body or their heart?

If you don’t like any of the photos you have of yourself, ask a friend to help you take new photos. Full-body photos. Photos that show your face in clear daylight. Photos that show you as you really are.

Then, if someone matches with you, you know they like the look of you.

Not the younger you. Not the thinner you. But you exactly the way you are.
